Not very often is much time spent talking about the Groom before, during or after a wedding… but without them there would be No Wedding at all!

Here at The Loft 5 we have had the pleasure of working with some of the most fantastic Grooms on the planet. Many people believe that the Groom just sits idly by and waits for someone to tell him where to stand once the big day finally arrives. But, I assure you that is not only not the case, but I would say that type of Groom has become a rarity in today’s society. A number of our Grooms are just as involved as their Brides to be if not holding the reins all together. Each Groom brings a unique perspective and a great amount of creativity to the planning process which results in some of the most incredible and intimate weddings we have had the pleasure of being a part of!

Gary Kaplan is a marvelous photographer whose pictures are consistently extraordinary. The Loft #5 works with him on a regular basis and it is always a pleasure. Most brides plan their weddings at least a year in advance. From the venue, colors, dress, invitations and all the personal details every bride puts a lot of time and energy into making this day what they have always envisioned. But what happens when everything that you had planned falls apart. What if you’re a bride that traveled all the way from Europe on Thursday and was getting married on Saturday? What if the venue you rented out was double booked? This is what happened to an unfortunate couple this past week!

The first step is for the bride to relax. I know, I know how could I tell a bride to relax when the biggest day of her life is ruined? Well it’s NOT ruined and you just have to use “Plan B” or sometimes even “Plans C” and “D”. The next step is to find a very successful, creditable and experienced wedding and event planner in the area. The planner has connections, knows the area, and is able to take the pressure off of you and the groom and allow the both of you to relax and ENJOY your wedding.

At the Loft #5, we have the experience, connections and out-of-the-box thinking to create an amazing and memorable event with only a few days notice. We were able to help the bride and groom at a time when they thought all was lost. They had an amazing ceremony on Longboat Key at a private water front rental house. The theme was a “Chic England Picnic on the Beach”. By using white linens, flowers and candles with pops of bright earthy greens everywhere the venue was transformed into an amazing England park. The pair had an afternoon ceremony then treated their guest to personalized picnic baskets filled with a delicious meal for them to enjoy.

After some champagne, laughter and dancing, night fell and the bistro lights strung across the yard twinkled in the sky. It was a perfect evening that the bride thought would never come together. But with the help of the Loft #5 and some creative thinking it was a night that the couple and their guests will never forget.
